WELCOME TO Kangaroo Inn Area School
Kangaroo Inn Area School is committed to learning. Our school cares for and values people. The school environment is attractive, with dedicated teaching and ancillary staff together with supportive parents, caregivers and community people.
Our learning programs and teaching methodologies reflect careful planning, implementation, assessment and reporting. We aim for continuous learning, social responsibility and developing skills for success.
The ability to think quickly and communicate appropriately
To adapt to change and solve problems
Skills of literacy and numeracy
An attitude which values initiative, honesty and responsibility
We provide a supportive learning environment that balances the need for discipline with the desire to allow students to take increasing responsibility as independent learners.
As educators we take responsibility for the pastoral care of our students seriously. We emphasise firm discipline, acknowledge positive behaviour and have clear expectations and consequences for misbehaviour.
As a small pre-school to Year 12 school we actively encourage our students, parents/carers and the community to participate in decision making to help set the school's direction and to enjoy the full life of the school. We are committed to regular and effective communication between home, school and beyond.
We expect our students to present themselves and represent the school in a positive manner at all times through their behaviour at school, on camps and excursions and in the community, by their appearance in school uniform and in their positive attitude to learning.
